Windows 10 2204 is a big window update, which premiere is close. We learn that the new Microsoft Edge released in January will be the default browser in this version. This is a move that is basically not surprising. Microsoft is to make Windows 10 2004 publicly available by the end of this month.
Windows 10 2004, the May 2020 Update, is really close now. The company’s plans have been confirmed even recently by Intel itself. Now we find out that the new Microsoft Edge will become the default web browser in windows. The application was first available in mid-January and it was basically certain that it would be so.
The new Microsoft Edge is based on the Chromium engine. Until now, however, it was optional software. Anyone who wanted could have downloaded the internet browser for free and then installed it. With the Windows 10 2004 update, this will change, as can already be seen on the devices of the pilot program members.

Currently, Windows 10 2004 is still at the pilot program stage. Testers noticed, however, that the company is starting to release a new update marked with a string KB4559309. In fact, this is the new Microsoft Edge. After installing the browser, a system restart is required.
We guess that in the final version of Windows 10 2004 the new Microsoft Edge will be an integral part of the update. Simply put, after installing new windows, the older web browser will be replaced with this year’s. The Redmond giant will probably want to encourage users to use it. The premiere of May 2020 Update will take place in a few days.
