We have seen that most of the people around the world are using WhatsApp. It is a social messaging application developed almost a decade ago. Right from the start, WhatsApp has become popular among the masses. Also, the company has promised not to place ads inside the application which has attracted a lot of users to this app. Also, Facebook bought this app a few years ago citing its popularity.
However, Facebook’s acquisition also meant that many people were sceptical about WhatsApp’s future. This is because Facebook is a company which relies on its ad revenue and people feared that ads would be introduced on WhatsApp. However, years have passed by and Facebook has kept WhatsApp untouched. But we are now hearing that Facebook is planning to put ads in WhatsApp stories.
Keeping that aside, we are now getting to know that WhatsApp has started banning users from its platform. However, there is nothing to worry if you are using the official WhatsApp app. But if you are using any unofficial WhatsApp app like GBWhatsApp, you need to stop using it right away. This is because WhatsApp is banning accounts which are operating through its unofficial apps.
Currently, the company has started to warn its users against the use of these unofficial apps. Also, the company has said that they are temporarily banning those accounts. But if the usage remains to be continued then they will permanently ban those accounts as well.
WhatsApp spokesperson told Indian Express that WhatsApp cares deeply about the safety of our users. To protect the privacy and security of their account, it is strongly recommended that users only download WhatsApp from official app stores or from the website. There is also a threat that the chat history of users using the unofficial apps will be deleted.
