WhatsApp beta on Android gets a new feature that includes simple profile sharing. The user can share his own profile via QR codes, which should then be scanned. This solution from the messenger has several interesting applications. It will probably also go to WhatsApp Business over time.
WhatsApp beta is a preview version of the popular messenger, where Facebook allows eager users to try new options. Before these will be made available to all application users. An interesting novelty appeared in the Android version. These are QR codes that allow you to share a profile. How it’s working?
The messenger user can generate QR codes which should then be scanned. Then such a profile will allow you to start a conversation with a new contact. Fast and convenient. You can do this in the WhatsApp beta after going to the Settings section. The new option appears next to user information and has the form of a green button. Touching it will generate a code and after scanning it, another person will get a phone number.
Profile via QR codes so far only in WhatsApp beta
Remember that for now this is a new product that will benefit users of the beta version of the messenger. It will stay with time introduced for permanent release of the application. It is not known when this will happen, however. Probably within the next few weeks at the latest. Probably the option will also be implemented in WhatsApp Business.
