There are new photos shared by Jon Prosser revealing the look and showing a smaller notch in the iPhone 12 Pro.
New CAD images show the appearance of the new cutout in the iPhone 12 Pro. These diagrams would be sent to Apple partners for various components and final assembly of the device. Both images represent a more compact TrueDepth system than those on the iPhone X and newer models.
The system confirms what we saw a few days ago on other unofficial CAD graphics, which showed that the iPhone 12 Pro will have a very similar appearance to the iPad Pro.
In addition to the smaller notch in the iPhone 12 Pro, we also notice another very important difference, namely the speaker has been moved from the notch to the top frame to free up additional space. Current models with Face ID have a speaker integrated in the middle of the notch:
The speaker in the iPhone 12 is located directly above the light sensor and proximity sensor that have been moved inward. The TrueDepth camera has also been moved to the center. Thanks to these changes, the notch in the iPhone 12 Pro will be much smaller than the current ones.
Although this is not a big change, a smaller notch will give users a few extra millimeters of screen space. New iPhones are to be presented in September this year.
