Apple has officially announced that the first 7.9-inch iPad mini that was launched in 2012 has been deprecated.
According to Apple’s support document, outdated products are no longer eligible for any repairs, with no exceptions. This means that authorized repairers will no longer accept the first iPad mini for repair.
The first iPad mini, as I mentioned at the beginning, was introduced to the market in 2012.
As a reminder, I would like to add that in April 2020, i.e. just a few months back, some of the company’s laptops from 2013 and 2014 were also added to the list of obsolete devices, and in July, the MacBook Pro with a Retina screen.
