Samsung has just announced its new lineup of TVs in India. However, this is not a traditional announcement from the company as this lineup from Samsung is online-exclusive. This goes in line with the lineup of smartphones recently announced by Samsung, Galaxy M series. This also indicates that Samsung is going big this year in competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Honor and Realme in India. Talking about Samsung’s latest lineup of TVs, it is named as Super 6 series.
As far as the Super 6 series from Samsung is concerned, it runs on Tizen OS from the company. This is different from the Android TVs which we have previously seen in India. However, it must be noted that Samsung Super 6 TVs are still Smart TVs as well. Samsung’s latest TVs come in various display sizes which include a 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch one.
We can also say that Samsung has launched these TVs as an answer to Mi TVs from Xiaomi. You must be aware that Xiaomi has launched Mi TVs in 32, 43 and 55-inch variants. Also, Samsung’s Super 6 series 55-inch TV comes with a 4K UHD display similar to Mi TV 55-inch. This means that the resolution of Samsung’s Super 6 4K 55-inch TV comes down to 3840 x 2160
Samsung also mentioned that its 4K TVs are ‘real’ 4K TVs and they have 4x more pixels than a typical FHD TV. These TVs from Samsung have a refresh rate of 60Hz and support 20W speakers, 2 HDMI ports and one USB port. It is also worth mentioning that Samsung Super 6 TVs have narrow bezels and are super-slim in design.
Also, Samsung Super 6 series TVs support Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Eros Now, Sony Liv, Google Play Movies & TV and Jio Cinema and more out-of-the-box. Also, Samsung’s Super 6 series TVs come with features like Live Cast, Tune Station, Screen Mirroring and lag-free gaming. Samsung’s 43-inch Super 6 TV costs Rs. 41,990 in India whereas the 55-inch 4K TV costs Rs. 61,990. There is an Rs. 10,000 price difference between all the three variants.
