OnePlus finally launched its latest OnePlus 7T smartphone and OnePlus TV 55″ 4K QLED. The newly launched OnePlus TV 55 Q1 and OnePlus TV 55 Q1 Pro 4K QLED TVs will be made available for sale in India from 28th September onwards.

OnePlus TV is going to come with a 55 inches Quantum QLED display with 4K resolution support. The display has a DCIP 3 score of 96 % and an NTSC score of 120 %. According to OnePlus, this is the highest scoring in the industry so far. OnePlus TV is going to be powered by a Gamma Color Magic processor.

In addition the smart TV comes with a screen to body ratio of 95.7 % and a thickness of 7 mm at its thinnest. The back of the Smart TV comes with a minimalistic design. There is a magnetic plate on the back which can be slid out to reveal the ports on the TV.

OnePlus TV Software is integrated with a built in screen casting capability. The software comes with Google Assistant support. In the event, OnePlus announced that the company will provide Android TV updates for OnePlus TV for the next three years. OnePlus TV’s UI is known as Oxygen Play. OnePlus revealed that from later this year, Netflix will also be integrated into the TV. OTT content includes Netlfix, Zee TV, Amazon Prime, Eros Now, and much more.

OnePlus Smart TV is going to be powered by MediaTek’s new and specially designed chipset for smart TVs, MediaTek MT5670 chipset. MediaTek MT5670 comes with four Cortex-A53 cores and they are clocked at 1.8 GHz. The Smart Television packs an ARM Mali G51 graphics unit. According to OnePlus, this GPU will give the user “studio quality video”. It is also said that the graphics unit will come with a handful of new features such as automatically adjusting sharpness and quality using facial and scene recognition.

Users will be allowed to OnePlus TV with their smartphone via OnePlus Connect. With OnePlus Connect, users will be able to control 55-inch OnePlus TV with the connected smartphone.

OnePlus Smart TV is going to come with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The smart TV will be powered by Dolby audio and visual technologies. OnePlus said that the new Dolby Vision Atmos technology used in the smart TV will make the TV 40 % brighter and more color accurate.

The smart TV sports a sliding sound bar with 8 speakers and it has a sound output of 50W. The speakers have forward transmission system so that the sound is not deflected and all the sound comes directly towards the user. OnePlus mentioned that the sound bar slides automatically downward when the TV is started. The TV does so in just in 7.2 seconds and that also without making much noise. It makes a sound of 32 decibels only!

There will be two devices: 55 inches OnePlus TV and OnePlus TV Pro. OnePlus TV is going to come with a price tag of Rs. 69,900 whereas OnePlus TV Pro is going to come with a price tag of Rs. 99,900. OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro will be available on Amazon India from 28th September.
