iOS 14 is this year’s update for Apple phones. Rumors say that it will hit iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7 and 7 Plus models. This means that the upgrade will get the same phones that were updated last year. We expect the official announcement of iOS 14 in the second half of this month.
We’ll see iOS 14 next month. During the first day of WWDC 2020, when Apple will reveal on which phone models the update will appear. Earlier there were rumors that they were to hit the same models that were updated last year. This seems to confirm new leaks in this topic.
iOS 14 will hit iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and SE and newer models
Theoretically, we expect that the iPhone 6s (Plus) and SE models will not get an update to iOS 14. Apple would rather prefer to get rid of support for them, but in reality it may be different. The source site believes that the smartphones of 2015 and 2016 will be updated. If this happens, the new software will go on the models from the list below.
- iPhone 6s (Plus)
- iPhone SE (from 2016 and 2020)
- iPhone 7 (Plus)
- iPhone 8 (Plus)
- iPhone X
- iPhone Xr
- iPhone Xs (Max)
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 (Pro / Max)
How will it really be, we’ll see in time. There is not much time left until the announcement of iOS 14. Everything will be explained in a few weeks. Apple soon after the announcement will reveal the official list of devices that will receive the update. It remains to be believed that the above leaks will work, which would be a nice gesture towards the users of older phones.
