AMD is known to launch their flagship processors every year. These processors are launched in the Ryzen lineup from AMD. We also know that these processors compete with the likes of Intel. Intel also launches their Core I series of processors every year. Now, it is debatable whether Intel is popular or AMD is popular but both chip makers have their fans. As we mentioned earlier that AMD releases new chips every year. Similarly, AMD will release an all-new lineup of Ryzen processors this year.
We now have information regarding the AMD Ryzen 9 chips which are launching soon. Talking about the Ryzen 9, it is expected to have up to 16 cores. Yes, you read it right that the Ryzen 9 may have up to 16 cores. This is almost double the cores than present on current Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 series. We currently have 8 core processor which power our PCs and Laptops. However, we can soon have a 16-core processor with the launch of Ryzen 9. Apart from that, Ryzen 9 may be named as Ryzen 9 3800X.
Not only is the Ryzen 9 supposed to come with 16 cores, but it will also have a 32-thread processor, with a 3.9GHz base clock, 4.7GHz boost clock, and 125W TDP. Along with the Ryzen 9, AMD is also expected to release the Ryzen 7.
Ryzen 7 3700X will have 12 cores, 24 threads, with a 4.2GHz base clock, 5.0GHz boost clock, and 105W TDP. This means that the Ryzen 7 3700X will still be more powerful than the 8th gen Intel Core i7 processor but not as powerful as the Ryzen 9.
In addition to Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7, AMD will also launch Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 processors. Ryzen 5 3600X from AMD will be upgraded with 8-core, 16-thread CPU with a maximum clock speed of 4.8GHz and a conventional 95W TDP rating. The Ryzen 3 3300X will have six-core and 12-thread chip which is an upgrade from the quad-core Ryzen 3 processor from last year.
