As the 9to5mac portal revealed yesterday, the new headphones can be equipped with various sensors.
These are supposed to be sensors that allow the headphones to identify when we wear them and when the headphones simply hang around our neck. This function would stop playback when only one of the two headphones is removed from our ear. Thanks to these sensors, the headphones will remain on when hung around the neck to be ready to use when we put them on again. A similar solution is in AirPods or AirPods Pro.
Another sensor will be able to detect the left and right ear to redirect audio channels. This means that you will be able to put the headphones on and wear them on both sides. You will not need to put the right earphone on your right ear and the left earphone on the left. When we put them upside down, the sensor will detect and adjust the channel. In addition, Apple headphones will receive a full equalizer when connected to devices on iOS, iPadOS or macOS.
Apple is expected to introduce AirPods Studio at WWDC at the end of June.
